  • Unable to render Video – Renders only 4 seconds or so from a 4 minute video.

    Hello,

    I’m quite new to After effects, after playing around with it for a bit and watching a few tutorials i decided to render my first video. I am using a render server with;
    – 128gb ram
    – gtx 1080
    – ssd drives

    using Deadline to render it. ( AE 2020 )

    When i go through the process to render it, for some reason it only renders a couple of seconds & not the whole videos. I’ve tried mutliple settings & have googled for hours with no luck so this is my last hope. Screenshots below for my timeline etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Are you getting any errors after you render. Does the 4 second video play or is it corrupted?

    Render it out using a png sequence first…then see where it fails at. where ever it fails at there is an effect or something going on there. Motion tile will usually do it if the settings are too high

    I do get a few errors pop up when rendering, either quicktime or AVI etc. ( Pastbin link below ) The video the does render is usually around 4 seconds 99% of the time but it sometimes starts at the begining, sometimes halfway through or sometimes near the end.

    The pastebin link shows the 2 errors of the most recent test.

    I did a render with PNG only, normally when i do the renders using quicktime / avi it only takes couple minutes ( about 5 – 10 minutes ) PNG took about 1hr30 minutes and no errors appeared, everything seemed to have worked fine.

    Screenshot attached of the PNG test & running a test straight after using the Quicktime Animation format.
