Unable to link to any clips Xdcam AMA
I have a bunch of XDcam clips that I want to link via AMA. I go to File/AMA link. Point in the right direction. No luck. I get message “Ünable to link to any clips”. I checked my XDCam plugin and have 3.2.1, which is what Avid pointed me to. The folder structure was not hampered with. I am able to link to quicktime AMA and .mp4, and others. On my Mac laptop running MC 5.5.3 I am able to link to these files via AMA but not on my PC station.
I copied entire cards to individual day folders. So on my disk it is: EX3/day131/BPAV/ETC….
I can go into individual shot folder, the CLPR, and select the MP4 file and it will AMA link, however in MC, it says “wrong format”.
Help! anyone? Any clue?

Ok, So I tried an ALT drag my day131 folder into a bit and presto. Worked…but why not via file/AMA link?

from what I recall the EX series cameras have individual sub folders for each file. Link to AMA Volume, not AMA Files
