unable to import .mpeg file in vegas 8
hi,
i am unable to import .mpeg files in sony vegas 8 .. i m working on a live project.. and lot of .mpeg files r in the project..
i hav formated machine twice.. installed klite codec.. still no use..
so plz help me

Never ever install any kind of codec pack as you have no idea what what’s getting installed and what it could possibly do to your system.
What kind of mpeg files are these?
Where did they originally come from? -
therse are mpeg2 files converted from .divx

divx could very well be the problem.
How did you convert them to mpeg-2 (i.e. what tool did you use)? -
i used Nero vision… to convert frm divx to mpg
but that is not the problem.. i hav finished lot of project using this method…
i think this is some codec problem..
