I followed this tutorial for sending a camera from AE to C4D in which they group the camera and use that group to re-adjust the position. But if I do this and eventually extract the camera information from C4D back to AE, AE does not include the null’s affect on the camera and so I get a camera totally offset. On the other hand if I unpair the camera from the null in C4D it also goes back to this original position.

So how to I unparent the camera from the null and keep it’s new global position and keyframes? I believe in Blender it’s called “clear and keep transform”

    Thanks!

What version of C4D and Ae are you using? There was a change from back when you downloaded the plugin for Ae from Maxon (circa CS6 I think) to now where Cineware comes with AE. You can have both the old and new plug ins installed in a newer version of AE, they will produce different results though.
