  Ultrastudio SDI output levels

  Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me out.
  I am running After effects (CS 5.5) on Windows 7.
  Using a BM Ultrastudio USB3 connected to a FSI broadcast monitor.

  The thing is when I have a HD comp with 0 black and 255 white levels, an 8-bit comp in this case, the scopes on the monitor always show 16-235 values? So the Ultrastudio is adjusting the signal?
  I understand those are broadcast save values and the image looks the same as on my monitor (only better because the broadcast monitor is calibrated).
  But I should be able to see illegal values on the scopes so I can correct them?
