  Ultrastudio app support

  I’m about to upgrade laptops, to a new MacBook Pro, and the Thunderbolt I/O is something I’d like to take advantage of. I read where the new Ultrastudio 3D has Thunderbolt and would work as a monitoring solution, at least, for FCP. That’s cool, but I’ve got other questions:

  – Is there a calibration utility, a la Matrox’s HDMI blue-only controls?
  – Would a monitor connected via Ultrastudio 3D and Thunderbolt work as an everyday monitor, with the Finder visible, etc.?
  – For Photoshop use, how does it work, exactly? In addition to video, we shoot a lot of stills. Can the Ultrastudio 3D monitoring solution serve as a calibrated screen for still image editing? This would be separate from any video application, and would require appropriate gamma and profile settings.
