    Hey,
We’re looking at getting 6 Ultrascopes and running them on the HP XW4600. Does anyone know if we’d also be to use those systems in a render farm for Maya, Cinema 4D etc, while running the Ultrascope app?
    Thanks

the Ultrascope won’t mind, but I bet the render farm software will (not like having another application running – even a low overhead one).

I guess a better question would be if Ultrascope is strictly GPU intensive? Then there would be no problem.

Hrm…untested obviously. However yes…it is more GPU intensive. It doesn’t like to be defocused so if the render node is happy to run in the background it might work.

Obviously, if there is an issue and you call us we will have to ask you to check your results against the system without the render node turned on…but, yeah…you know.

    Sincerely,
