Activity Forums Audio UHF & FM in the UK?

    Hi, I figured this was the best forum on the cow to post this.

    I am looking for a wireless lavelier system for my new Cam (Sony HVR-AV1). Trouble is, I live in the UK. It seems that the UK UHF frequency is is slightly higher than the U.S etc, (863.000 to 866.000 Mhz) and to buy a UK equivalent of a pro UHF system I am looking at a absolute minimum of

    There are several issues.

    Different countries alot diffferent frequencies for wireless. Some are more strict than others. If you fire up a US wirelsss in the wrong place, you can end up in jail.

    You can buy cheap, but when it doesn’t work well, you’re sunk.

    If what you’re shooting matters. You really have no choice. The Sennheiser G2 series is as low as most pros will go. The new Audio-Technica 1800 series also works.

    I don’t have a list of UK frequencies.
