Typing text effect
I’m trying to insert a typing text effect in Vegas Pro 8.0a.
I found and followed this videotutorial on youtube (download preset here). With the standard text it works great, but when I change the standard text (‘need more data…’), the whole effect is gone and the text appears at once. What am I doing wrong?Thanks, Hans.

The ProType Titler Collections are a bit touchy about how you replace the text. What I find works best is to scroll the CTI all the way to the right where the text is fully visible. Then double-click the text and press Ctrl+A to highlight all, Paste the new text and Press Esc. This seems to preserve the settings.

That was indeed the problem: playing the vid before escaping after changing the text. Already found that out, but thanks anyway for your clear response.

Vegas Pro 8 ProType Presets:
Right click & save to
C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Sony\Titler 1.0\Collections in Vista or
c:\Documents and Settings\{username}\Application Data\Sony\Titler 1.0\Collections in XP.NOTE: Vegas 8.0a changed the folder name to “Collections”.
Notice the extra “s” at the end.
So, if you’re using the original version, put then in the folder labeled “collection”.
All updated versions use “Collections”.BTW, this information is courtesy of the guy who did the preset mentioned in this thread.
