Typewriter text generator problem
I’m using the typewriter text generator. I want it to type a piece of text on and then stop and hold the full text for a while. I’ve tried keyframing the ‘pause’ property but that seems to be a little unpredictable. Then I tried taking the last frame with all the text on and did shift-N to make a freeze frame. But the freeze frame it generates is from a previous point when the text was not all on screen yet…. Any ideas? Must be quite a common problem.

I suggest you use Boris Text Scrambler for more control instead of the legacy generator. It was introduced in FCP 5, I believe. A LOT more control.Kevin Monahan
