November 21, 2005 at 7:01 pmEasy way is to use the “cc type” or “cc typewriter” (I am at work and cannot remember the precise name of the effect; just type in “cc type” and see if it comes up) effect if you have V6.5 of AE. I have used this before and it works nicely. I may have the name wrong, but it’s there.

November 22, 2005 at 12:45 pmThere are no CC effects that create type. As mentioned elsewhere, there is a Typewriter Animation Preset. Otherwise, the Path Text plugin has an animate-able start and end point. Digital Anarchy’s Text Anarchy plugin suite also have great typewriter effect options.
