I have recently made a video with a Canon XL1 camera. I used both a boom mic and the mic from the camera. When I go to playback on the camera, I can switch between listening to the boom and the camera mic, but after I import the video, I can only seem to hear the camera mic.

Did I import wrong (and if so how do I do it right) or is the other audio track hidden somewhere that I’m not looking (and if so where do i go?)

Thank you so much for your help!

If I remember correctly, the XL1 records four-channels of 12-bit audio (the only prosumer camera that does), so your external mic may be on channel 3 or 4, which the capture program in Vegas won’t import.

Scenalyzer Live does capture four channels of audio.
