    The following layer dependencies are missing:
    Text layer: font family: ‘AmericanTypewriter’,font style: regular

    I can’t seem to fix this.

    2 footage files required to render comp “name of comp” are missing

    I tried renaming but same thing.

    any ideas

    i assume that some of the comps you are working were created on another system.

    somewhere in the comp you are rendering (it could be within nested comps) is a text layer that uses a font called ‘american typwriter regular’ and you don’t have that font on your current system. you may have a font named that, but ae may not see it as the same font (there can be differences in a font despite the name). find that text layer and change the font to something you have on your system.

    same for the missing footage items. you’ll either find the missing items, replace them with something else or remove them. this can be easier than the font. for footage items you can find them in the project window, right-click one and choose replace footage>file… then find the original file, or replace it with something else. or if you don’t need the footage item, delete it from the project and it will remove it from any comps.
