  TV studio boom mic dolly

  Hi,
  presently my institute has a boom mic stand as shown in the site below..

  but what we will like to do is to replace it with other brand or models which does not depend too much on the strings (as u could see in the pic).
  could anyone recommend me pr seen something in your own country TV studios..thks
