TV Image is large
Hello,
I recently created a video that I rendered using the DVD Architect NTSC format. When I preview the video in DVD Architect it looks fine, but when I burn a dvd and watch it on television, it’s like the images extend just beyond the screen. Everything seems slightly over sized. The images and sound are fine and clear, but it’s just too big. Am I doing something wrong or is there a way to shrink the overall size?

Welcome to the world of overscan. All TVs will overscan your image, some more than others. That is why Vegas has a “safe” zone marker on the preview screen. Keep everything of importance iside that safe zone and you ‘shouldf’ see it on your tv. If you want you can pan and crop your image (shrink it to a smaller size) but if you do it too much you will see a black border around your picture. And it would have to be different for different TVs. Have fun.

Just wanted to give a long overdue thank you for this response. I always wondered what that red box was for given that even images outside of it appeared on screen. That explains it!
