The best crash course on AE is by clicking on Andrew’s head above and scrooling down to “After Effects 101”.
Ayato has brilliant stuff but his instructions get lost in translation.
Aharon above is probably the easiest to follow, step by step, his tuts are another place to go after Andrew’s 100 tut.
If you live in California find a Junior College with an AE course.
