Hi I have an animation in after effects with a swirling foggy back ground . My photoshop selections which are flat 2d pictures of the Earth scale and increase in opacity to appear to rise from the fog. I have selected the globes and put them into new files by edit copy paste however when I bring the files into after effects and put them into the timeline I have the white background border. If I had a black background in the after effects composition I could just make the borders of the pshop globes black and be done with it but my background is the swirling fog help I have been working with pshop for years!

Make the globes the only content on their own layers (delete all other pixels and make sure there is not a BACKGROUND layer. Import the Photoshop file as a composition into AE and you should have no trouble with edges and backgrounds.
