Trying to track a layer with pre – existing key-frames
I’m pretty new to AE and what i’m trying to do is track a character in a game so I can have flames follow that character . The layer itself is already adjusted in premiere with the positioning and color correction I want
Important note : I’m using the ” Replace with after effects composition” option in premiere.
When in AE and I try to motion track it opens the layer in its original form without my color correction , positioning ect
I’m sure there is a simple solution that I just cant see right now but any insight would be helpful!

Don’t worry about the colour correction, that’s applied to the footage in Premiere. When you use Replace with after effects composition Premiere creates a composition off that footage, and continues to apply effects to that composition.
So, you now get to handling tracking in AE, but when you save and return to Premiere, that program will add your colour correction and positioning to the embedded comp.
