Trying to “replicate” this style…
I am working on a project at the moment and am having serious difficulty in replicating the style used to create the ground and the atmospheric effects seen in this shot created by Mikael Gustoffson….
Any tips?
I have tried painting and using raster masks but I can’t seem to get the “smoothness” of that ground in that shot.
For the atmospherics, I have added layers of fog brushes and other soft brushes and it ends up looking just cheap.

Have you tried illustrator? Looks like a bunch of vector lines. Wouldn’t be too difficult in illustrator.
