  Trying to render with alpha channel in S24 and it’s not working

  I’m so confused over something that should be so simple. I’m trying to render an animation in AVI and I have Alpha Channel selected in my settings, but the resulting filename.avi doesn’t have the channel. What did happen, however, is that a second file named A_filename.avi was also created. Is this supposed to happen, or am I looking at a software bug?
