    Here’s the deal:
I’m editing a documentary with 60 hours of footage and very limited drive space. I loaded 10 hours at a time, watched the footage, and then cut my favorite parts of the ten 1 hour clips into a sequence. Thus 10 hours became 2 hours in a sequence. Then I bypassed the media manager and deleted the quicktimes by hand, taking everything offline in order to load the next batch of tapes. Now I have finished and thought it would be a snap to recapture only the media from the sequence rather than having to recapture the entire original clips. There must be a way to do this. I tried making independent clips but when I did so and attempted to recapture the 1 minute clip that I chose from the Master, the batch capture would tell me it was going to recpature the entire hour to put the 1 minute clip back online in the sequence.
Maybe I screwed up by bypassing media manager, but all of the timecode is there, so I assume there must be a convenient way. In AVID it’s a cake walk.
    Thanks
