I’m using FCP 5.1.4 AJA LH and Panasonic 1200A via HD SDI. I’m trying to output my project to tape which is Kona DVPro HD 59.94 960×720. I cannot edit to tape. I put in a blacked tape, set the time code, the device setting is AJA Kona LH 59.94 Panasonic VTR. I’ve tried crash editing which works playing back on two of the decks we have but not on another. Any suggestions? Thanx!

You cannot control the 1200A via RS-422 when editing to tape. That AJA preset assumes RS-422 control of the deck, so you cannot perform the edit. Switch your Device Control over to DVCPro HD Firewire.

Using firewire worked but my audio was out of sync. Do you know what may have caused this? Thanks for all of your help.
