    HI,

I’m trying to open C300 footage in Premier CC. I’m running OS 10.8.5 Mountain Lion because of a legacy project on this computer.

So far, when I import into Premier, I get the message “file type not supported” or “generic error”.

When I use an MXF converter, I get only the audio.

Is this because I’m not on El Capitan with the latest version of Premier and the Canon XF Utility (which has no version available for this OS).

    Or is it something else?

    Please help!!

What version of Premiere CC are you running?

Anything earlier than a recent CC probably won’t open C300MkII footage. That camera just started shipping less than 6 months ago.

You’ll likely need to upgrade your system if you want to work on native files.
