Trying to log VHS into FCP thru ADVC-55
Hi guys,
Would really appreciate some help. I have a VCR player (that works) and I’m trying to log into FCP. Out of the back of the VCR I have a scart cable that coverts into three phono (red, white & yellow) that’s been jacked into the correct sockets in the ADVC device. Out of the ADVC-55 device is my fire-wire 4 cable that goes into my Mac Pro Tower. My FCP settings are Non controllable device, dv pal, dv pal.
The ADVC is green and works for Hi8 and DV so far (and has been great!) but I’m boarding on going insane on why I can’t upload VHS. When I click on log and capture – it reads it but for some reason is in black and white and the image has been pushed up so that the bottom is in the middle of the viewer (see image) and when it captures it only captures for about 10 seconds and comes out the way I just mentioned.
If anyone can help, I would be eternally grateful as this is killing me! Thanks so much!
