I’m working in 1080i, and I need to deliver my media in Quicktime using the DVC Pro HD codec. In either Premiere Pro or AME, I can open the codec settings for Quicktime and select “DVCPro HD” 1080i. However, the frame size is locked at 1080×1280. It’s greyed out, and I can’t change anything. Does anyone know how I can export 1920×1080 DVCPro HD?

That format doesn’t exist. DVCPRO HD isn’t full raster 1920×1080…it’s thin raster, or anamorphic. DVCPRO HD at 1080i is 1280×1080. At 720p it’s 960×720.

There is no such thing as 1920×1080 DVCPRO HD.

Thank you- that explains a lot. I’ll talk to my producer.

Other options are AVC-Intra 1920×1080 or ProRes 1920×1080.
