Trying to create moving glowing spheres with trailers
Posted by Miro Segura on October 11, 2011 at 8:17 pmHello,
I’m trying to create moving glowing spheres with trailers. Tried Echo space but want to see if there are any other solutions/plugins. I want to create a similar look to the link below that I have attached. Any help would be great!

October 12, 2011 at 8:51 pmThe trails don’t move — they pop up in place after the leader passes their position. In other words, you don’t want the trails to actually follow the animation of the leader.
I’d animate the leader, then use its animated position to drive the emitter in a particle system. The particles should have neither velocity from the emitter nor velocity from motion, and you their decay can be controlled with the particles’ opacity over life setting.
