    Trying to capture DV

    Hi-

    I just got a Sony HVR-M25U deck and all I’ve been able to do with it is capture regular old NTSC DV 48k video. I’d like to get DV50 NTSC 48 kHZ video but I keep getting a message “capture encountered a problem reading the data on your source tape. This could be due to a problem with the tape. Capture has been aborted and your clip has been saved” after only a few seconds.

    Any ideas what could be causing this?

    Your deck does not do DV50. You want DV NTSC 48k. Easy setup. Good luck.
