    Working with Sony HDV 1440×1080 @ 29.97
    – NO automatic Duck –
Bringing in reference movie to AE 7 from Final Cut.

    -Comp size is 1440×1080
-Pixel aspect ratio set to HDV1080 (1.33)
    -Interpreted footage as HDV

    Things look good so far.

    Ready to export –
    -Animation
    -Upper field 1st
    -1440×1080

Imported back in FCP and I’m always squashed fat!
is it something on export I’m not checking?

[Dave LaRonde] “I’d check the FCP Sequence Settings.”

I was going to suggest this, as well as making sure that you’re looking at everything with Pixel Aspect Ratio preview on.

The treated footage is going back into the HDV 1080i60 Sequence from FCP where the footage originated. I am viewing widescreen in FCP and Pixel Aspect preview is on in AE.
…Just when it goes back into FCP its wider than my original widescreen…
