    Hi all.

When I do a RAM preview for any animation in AE no matter how simple or complicated, I can only get about 1 second’s worth of preview. I tried purging all under Edit\ Purge, but this doesn’t help. It wasn’t always this way. I have 3 GB of RAM, so I know my computer can do better.

I am running AE 7.0 Pro on a Dell Precision Intel Xeon CPU (3.0 GHz).

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    ryan

Also, check your Memory & Cache preferences. You may have set a really small maximum RAM usage limit.

Thanks for the reply. It definitely was not the work area.

That’s what it was. Really simple fix. Always good to have somebody from the outside looking in. Thanks a lot.
