i have just installed a beta of magic bullt looks for their beta test and I have realized my fcp plugins arent working… in my effects all that isnt stock are my blackmagic quicktime color effects, and ultimatte advantedge from a job ages ago.

heres the wierd part, if i search for advantedge or ultimatte, i find it installed in my after effects plug-iins folders, 6.5, 7.0., 7.0 render engine, but not in the fcp plugins folder.

when i do go to app. support./plug-ins i have a raft of plus, Marcus facelight, vignette, some other random plugins, and NO ADVANTEDGE – which is the only one that is available through the FCP interface. so basically all i have access to is a plug-in i done use (which needs a dongle anyway to render) and all of my legit plugins are not available.

    I have tried
    -repair permission, restart,
    -new user (admin privelages)

should i throw out any plug-ins that look like AE plguins? i think that FCP andAE plugins are sometimes almost the same thing…

any opther tips to try? … this is what happens when you live in AE and C4D land for too long and only cut with fcp…

I would be very grateful to anyone that has any ideas! thanks!
