Hello, I’m new member but I knew you because sometimes I look for solutions in your foro. This time I couldn’t get the answer searching. As you can see I’ve a poor english, so please be patient with me.

    My problem:

I’m trying to transfer a 16mm film to hd using a PMW-EX3 and capturing on live in a MacPro Dual-Core 2.66GHz with a capturing program called CaptureMate.

I read every especification in the manual of camera to conect PMW-EX3 to Macpro by i-link but doesen’t works.

    Format video: SP 1080/50i
    i.LINK I/O: Enable
    Trigger Mode: External

In the display screen doesn’t appears the conexion i.LINK Says only STBY but not STBY i.LINK.
On the other hand, the MacPro can recognize the device. I saw it in Hardware information, but I can’t see it in desktop or select the camera as input in CaptureMate settings.

I don’t know nothing more about what can I do to activate i.LINK conexion.

    I’ll thank any suggestions

The i-link is only enabled for SP (HDV) and recording directly to the computer is no better than the SxS cards. However if you use the SDI port you will have 10 bit uncompressed, and for this you will need a capture card or Matrox MXO-2 with a laptop.

    Good Luck
