Troubled, two video’s one with people one without.
Hey,
Hypotetically my camera is on the railtracks, so i’ve been able to record a background as the camera moves around.
Now, i’ve put moving people in the background and done the exact same movement with the camera. So I have two pieces of footage both with identical backgrounds as the camera moves around, one video with only the background and one with the background and the moving people.
The outcome I want to achieve is to colour all the people and make them orange, but without masking everyone one individually with the pen tool for every single frame as this would take days. Is there anyway that Vegas (I’m on 8.0 pro) can realise that the only difference in the two video’s is the people and then be able to colour them.

There is a tutorial on Difference Masking on the VASST web site. The problem you will have is that unless your track is motorized and guaranteed to give you the exact same motion frame-by-frame this isn’t going to work for you. You need repeatable frame accurate motion to do this.
