Trouble with Kona LHe on my macpro 2008
Hello,
i’m new on mac system.
I have a macpro 3ghz eight core and i have install a kona Lhe Video Card. I have install it one the Slot 2.
The video output and input are working well, but i have not the rs 422 remote acces to my sony DSR 1500 pal deck.
the analog audio ouput doesn’t work too.I have install the new 6.0 drivers. And my FCP is the 6.0.4 version. The os is leopard.
somebody have an idea of this probleme??

Contact AJA asap. The tech support department is amazing. If changing the slot doesn’t fix it you could have a faulty card but only they should be able to assess that.

test your system with AJA VTR XChange, not FCP.
If your DSR-1500 has a firewire port (does it ?), then you can change VTR control in the DSR-1500 menus between iLink and RS422 serial remote – if it’s set to iLink, you will never control this VTR, no matter what AJA has you try, delete, and reload.Bob Zelin

ABSOLUTELY NOT. Use slot 3. No matter what slot you are in, it has nothing to do with your RS422 not working. Follow my advice.
Depending on the generation of MAC Pro you have, the earlier ones use the Apple Expansion Slot Utility. Your Kona card AND storage card MUST be in a x4 slot. If you are in a x1 slot (either the Kona or the disk drive card), you will be screwed.
