Trouble with HDMI Buzz!
Hey guys this is my first post, so I hope im in the right place. Was recommended Creative Cow to get some help! Ive got an HDMI buzz that I can not remove! Im using the Roland V-1HD. All of my camera inputs are fine, but when I plug in a computer input for slides, and my computer outputs for recording I get a horrible buzz! Is there a device that can clean up an hdmi audio signal? Ive searched throughout google and am still left stumped. Thank you!

Is this a portable computer or a desktop computer?
If it is a desktop computer, is it powered from the same circuit as the Roland V-1HD?
If it is a portable computer, what happens if you disconnect the power cord AT BOTH ENDS?
Portable computers are particularly notorious as a source of terrible hash on the audio.
It would have been helpful if you had identified the computer in question.———————————————————————————

Hey! Thank you for the response! I’ll take your advice on future posts being more descriptive of my hardware. Im using 2 desktop computers. One windows 10 machine and a Imac G5 tower. I’ve had them on the same furman power strip, and ive tried switching it to another. Same problem both ways. Both computers have the same painful buzz. Haven’t tried unplugging them and testing, assumed it would go away if I did that. They dont buzz if i just run a microphone on one of my cameras. Only when its plugged into the audio source, being our sound board.

Sounds like a ground loop, maybe. What happens when you plug in all AC powered devices into the same strip?

Hmm, OK, then my next guess is that one of your power supplies is “dirty.”
Try the process of elimination to see if you can figure out which one.
