I’m trying to “stitch” together some segments of a webinar that was conducted. I have 3 separate videos that I need certain segments of each. I want to edit them together and render out a wmv file when I’m finished. Nothing crazy.

Only problem is the files were all compressed with the g2m2 codec from “Go To Meeting”. I have Sorenson Squeeze 4.5 and PremPro CS4. I’ve also tried AE CS4 and I’m not having any luck.

Any help out there for me?
I’m doing this as a favor for my brother who is trying to deliver this to a coworker tomorrow am, so I’m hoping for a quick response if there’s one out there.

It says here that you can export to Windows Media.

*At second glance, it looks like you might have to do that while being logged in and right after the meeting, I would try installing the codec anyway and see if you can open it in Premiere, or Windows Media, then export agan in a different format.

The other sure shot way would be using a screen recorder and play back with the go to meeting player at the same time.

Matt, this seems to be one of those codecs that only the app that made it can actually do anything with it. I had a quick look on the web for the codec and a way to convert it. I couldn’t find anything. just because it’s video doesn’t mean it was intended or can actually be edited.
Try downloading the codec and working out if AE or PPro can see it.

read this for more horror stories about others trying to use this codec.

    Good Luck.
