Trouble with blur effect
Hi guys,
I sliced one clip I’m using in my project into 3 shorter ones used at different points.
When I applied the gaussian blur effect to one of the slices all slices of the clip (which are sepearted by other clips) get the effect applied onto them.
What can I do to apply the effect to only the slice I want it on instead of vegas treating the slices as 1 whole clip?
I’m using sony vegas pro 13. Sorry if my terminology is off but I am a noobie with vegas.

There is definitely a terminology problem here. Vegas Pro doesn’t have anything called a “slice”.
You can apply effects at the Track level, Event level, and Media level (i.e., Track FX, Event FX, Media FX). Which did you do?
It sounds like you may have applied the blur to an entire track or to the media which would show up on all of the events. if you just want to have it on one event, then only apply it to that event and the others will remain unchanged.

Yes, instead of adding the effect to the single track I wanted to use it on I clicked on “Media FX” which applied it to the whole thing not just the track I wanted it on. Fixed it now.
