Trouble with audio importing mpeg movie into FCP
I own a G4 500 dual coprocessor running FCP 4.5 on an OSX 10.3.9 platform. I have downloaded some movies as mpeg files that I want to import into FCP. The picture comes in just fine but there is no audio track. Is there a step that needs to be taken that will fix this problem? Do I need enabling software? I’d really appreciate suggestions. Thanks.

Use the free software called MPEG StreamClip to convert those mpegs into DV movies. It’ll be much easier to edit them that way.
