    When I open FCP 5.1 and try to open a sequence, I get a dialog box that says, “Codec not found. You may be using a compression type without the corresponding hardware card.”

    Any suggestions?

    What is your sequence preset?
    Change to DV NTSC 48kHz and see if that helps.
