trouble starting the program
My version of Photoshop had been running fine for quite few years but now it started saying
“updating adobe online components from adobe.com”
and then it would never get past this message and just shows up in the Finder as not responding….i am running Tiger and it is version 7… I tried reinstalling from my original disc and it did the same thing…then I got another disc and tried that too. Perhaps there is something I need to uninstall first?
does anyone know?

Try this:
Roll back your system date and time to before Photoshop stopped working.
If Photoshop now opens, go to Help > Adobe Online, and set it never to look for updates.
Then set the date and time back to current.
