    Hi guys!

    I’ve got a weird problem :

it is extremely hard to scroll my files rendered in animation.

I’m on G5 dual core.Although i get no problems while scrolling

7 gb mpeg 2 files in MPEG Streamclip and other apps, i face

difficulties in scroling 500mb files in After Effects.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

It’s HARD to scroll them? Keyframe-bottom, move, keyframe-top is hard?
I think you mean something different than HARD. What is it that you mean?

when using codcs with temporal compression in ae, you will force ae to work very hard to create the frames between the compression keyframes.

you will not experience these problems if you use codecs that do not use or have the option to disable interframe or temporal compression.

image sequences are good place to start and are compatible in almost every system, so you should be able to export one from other software easily. image sequences, by nature, can not use interframe compression.
