Trouble printing to video from FCP to Digibeta
This might be something extremely stupid in the end, but I have now tried everything I could think of and this machine is starting to make me feel stupid!
We recently bought a blackmagic decklink card, installed it and successfully digitized from a Sony Digibeta deck to FCP as well as output this same footage back to Digibeta tape through the decklink card.
Now, two months down the line, I am again trying to print to video from FCP to Digibeta tape however, this does not seem to work anymore. I can not recall changing any settings during this time.
The deck seems to be reading the tapes perfectly fine and I am able to digitize from digibeta tape and see all the footage on the monitor, but I can’t seem to output to digibeta (during printing to video, the footage does not appear on the monitor) and as far as I can tell, the tape is not recording even though the record button does kick in!
I might have to mention maybe that this footage was originally digitized from miniDV on a different edit suite and moved to the one I am currently using. Could this be the problem??? I am fairly new in the industry and still learning the ropes so please try not to go over my head with too many techinical terms!

You want to Edit to tape, not print to video.
