Trouble importing XML file for subtitles
Hello, I’m having issues importing an XML file for subtitle purposes. Upon bringing the XML nto final cut, I get the following error:
ERROR: Critical errors aborted the processing an XML document. Would you like to see a log of those errors now?
The log looks like this:
Mon, Aug 18, 2008, 12:02 PM – Errors Found Importing test.xml

sequence:media:video:track:clipitem(test0001.png) –: Unknown element encountered.( line 1 )

: Required element duration not found for definitionThe file was created by our subtitle guy. Looking at the file in text edit, I can see all the file paths for the .pngs are routed to his My Documents folder on his PC. I tried changing the file path to:
file:Users/zach/Desktop/test/test0001.png but that didn’t seem to do the trick.
Am I entering in the file path info incorrectly? Once I know the correct file path, is it easy enough to just tell our subtitler to re-enter that on his end, or do I have to re-enter this manually for every single subtitle?
Thanks so much!
