  • Trouble getting Canon 60D video clips into Vegas Pro

I am running (64 bit) Sony Vegas Pro version 9.0b. Does it accept 1920 x 1080 video from a Canon 60D? I was able to place the shots on the timeline, but the video does not show–only the audio. The video is black. Any suggestions as to what might be the problem? The clips play successfully in Windows Media Player, so I know the shot is there.

You actually need to update your Vegas version to 9.0e,
Hopefully this will resolve your issue.

I have tried to install the 9.0e update, but was unsuccessful in doing so. I downloaded and installed Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable and Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable.

I still get the message: Requirements not met. Press OK to Exit Install.

Can anyone suggest a next move? The message does not offer any more information other than listing the two Visual C++ above.
