Trouble exporting MPEG2
I have two different G5s running FCP 6.0. Both were installed from the same master discs, and they are not on a network. One works fine. On the other, when I try to export a sequence in MPEG2 for a DVD, it gives me an error message, “DVD Studio Pro must be serialized first in order to run Quicktime MPEG2 encoder.” What does this mean, and what do I do to be able to export MPEG2s????

Did you plug in different serials in both machines?

No, since I am not using the machines at the same time, I assumed that it was OK to use the same serial number. Is that a problem?

I think you can put it on one tower and one laptop, but not two towers. If the two towers are connected to the network, then one will see the other and FCP should not even launch.
