Well I’ve been messing about with Vegas for a few weeks now but this is the first time I am using it in anger and I’m getting quite frustrated with the basics.

Now I come from a “traditional” NLE background of cutting on Incite and Adobe Premiere CS 4.

I’m trying to replicate my work flow in Vegas.

I would like to load a clip into the trimmer. Mark an in and out point and insert to timeline. Basic 3 point editing.

I have defaulted the “double click loads to trimmer” option

I have been using I and O to mark my ins and outs.

Now the annoying part. Do I really have to double click in between the markers or press Ctrl+Q to select the edit every time before I can insert it to the timeline?
Is there not an option to do this automatically?

Also, is there a way to jump the cursor back and forwards to these in and out points in the trimmer and in the timeline?
