  Trim mode problem

  Hello all,

  I’m having an odd issue in trim mode. Using FCP version 6.0.6 whenever I enter the Trim window the outgoing clip is not at the proper frame and when you try and make any adjustments to in (within the trim window) it instantly jumps to a completely new frame near the end of the clip…this pretty much makes Trim Mode useless.

  Some more info that may shed light (to those who are more expertly than I)…we are shooting RedCam and converting PreRes 422. The audio is post-synced in FCP by the ‘lab’ that is doing the conversion to ProRes for us. I read elsewhere that ProRes and post-synced audio may make Trim Mode act a bit funny, but it only seems to be an issue on one of the three systems we’re using. It also worked fine for the first week of editing. I’m hoping that someone switched a setting and it’s just a matter of switching it back.

  Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
