  • Triggering nested comps to play only when desired

    Hi all

Is there an easy way to have a nested composition sit static on it’s own first frame, and only begin to “play” once triggered by a call in the parent composition?

    Cheers

It sounds like you want to enable time-remapping on your nested composition. You can move the keyframes to retime the composition, or even apply expressions to alter the time remap property values.

Cheers Darby. Coming from a flash animation background, I’ve found it hideously time consuming and messy moving complex keyframed animations along to different parts of nested comps timelines, in accordance with a change to the parents animation timing. I’ll take a further look into time remapping 🙂
