Probably a simple question. I have a client who is trying to cut a clip out of the timeline and when he does so, the remaining clips on the timeline ripple down to the left. I don’t know where to find the setting to turn off the ripple effect. Can someone point me in the right direction?

    Thanks.

Which delete key are you using? If you are using the delete key near the numeric pad, it will ripple your timeline. If you use the delete key at the top of the QWERTY part of your keyboard, it will only delete that clip or clips with no ripple.
