    Hi all,

I’ve researched on how to make a travel matte for FCP, but I’m still a little confused and looking for some clarification. My goal is to zoom in (scale) on two faces in the middle of a still, but I want the matte to mask everything but the faces. I read that this can be done in FCP using the matte generator and cropping, but what I would like to do is create a rectangle in the middle of the matte for the still. Can this be done by cropping? If not, how would I go about creating this?

    Thank you,
    Matt

    David,

Thanks for pointing out the irony of my predicament. Now I wish I had a matte to hide under!

Thank you for the link. That is exactly what I was looking for.

    Matt
