Trash preferences
Posted by Anne Holst on June 8, 2009 at 3:13 pmHi,
A quick one, how do I trash my preferences in FCP?
Thanks!
Anne.

Go to Home/Library/Preferences/Final Cut Pro User Data.
Delete FCP Preferences, FCP Obj Cache and FCP Prof cache.

(It will throw away your settings and the effects in your “Favorites” folder, and likely a few more things you want to keep.)
Instead, use the Free Application “FCP Rescue” found here-
https://mac.softpedia.com/progDownload/FCP-Rescue-Download-25515.html
It will SAVE and RESTORE your files after the Preferences are thrown away.
It is a very useful app.
