    Hi Anne,
    Go to Home/Library/Preferences/Final Cut Pro User Data.
    Delete FCP Preferences, FCP Obj Cache and FCP Prof cache.

    Actually, you really don’t WANT to just MANUALLY Trash the FCP Preferences.

    (It will throw away your settings and the effects in your “Favorites” folder, and likely a few more things you want to keep.)

    Instead, use the Free Application “FCP Rescue” found here-

    It will SAVE and RESTORE your files after the Preferences are thrown away.
    It is a very useful app.
